Where to Take Your Off-Road Motorcycle

Apr. 9 2019 Miscellaneous By ___

Off-road motorcycles are unique in that you can't take them on the highway (like you can with other vehicles) and you also can't take them on any old plot of dirt. Instead, you have to find dedicated groomed trails that allow you to enjoy the off-road experience in a way that keeps you safe and your vehicle protected from damage. It can be hard finding the right trails which is why we rounded up some of our favorites. If you want more trail advice or help finding an off-road motorcycle, visit the knowledgeable staff at Abernathy's Cycles. You'll find our dealership in Union City, Tennessee.

Brimstone

Brimstone is an outdoor recreation company that strives to provide an exceptional riding experience for off-road enthusiasts. They manage over 300 miles of trails that wind through stunning overlooks and cultural points of interest, meaning there will never be a dull moment in your ride. Enjoy the breathtaking views found in the heart of Appalachia 365 days a year! Trails range from easy to moderate to difficult so you can easily find something that suits your riding ability.

Windrock Park

How's this for a claim to fame: this park is the largest privately owned off-road recreational area you'll find in the United States! You could spend days here and just barely scratch the surface exploring the over 73,000 acres of trails and campground. There are trails for all skill levels so both new riders and experienced pros can find something that fits their level. They also range from easy gravel to challenging mountain terrain, making it easy to find the terrain style that suits you. You can also enjoy the campground, the shooting range, and their many events throughout the year.

It's easy to plan a getaway here considering the park is conveniently opened all day and every day of the year! Whenever the urge to ride strikes, you'll be able to head on over and conquer the trails. The park itself is found in a quaint town known as Oliver Springs in East Tennessee. It's a little less than 40 miles from Knoxville and has easy access to I-75 and I-40.

Before you can conquer these exhilarating trails, you'll need an off-road motorcycle. If you still need to buy a model, check out the options at Abernathy's Cycles. We are located in Union City, Tennessee. Stop by today!
